Growth - English

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mrs C. Behrens.

Who’s in control - individuals, society, the government? Someone will take charge, many will follow, and others will resist. This course will investigate texts that come from a history of those who have suffered, at the hands of others, and then worked to overcome these barriers. We will look at individuals, who have not only survived their torment, but been changed, and have used their change to challenge the world. Firstly, we will study a selection of texts - student choice. You will select written and visual texts to study. Then, we will select our method of presentation to demonstrate our analysis of text. Finally, we will select and shape our texts for a specific audience and purpose.

You can select this course twice.
