Learn how to welcome guests into our school Marae and give a basic mihi (greeting) followed by a waiata (song). You will learn Te Reo Maori me ona Tikanga as well as basic cooking skills to help you provide refreshments to your guests. You will learn the importance of ceremonial eating and engage in simple korero recounting traditional Maori ways of living. You will investigate the influence Pakeha had on the technologies Maori used and the move from more laborious work to the push button society we live in.
