If you love to watch movies, Listen to music, create TikToks and other cool media products, then this is the course you belong in! Film, Television, Music and Social Media. This is the way that the majority of people in today’s world receive and share information.This course will explore how and why these different media screens are the way we as humans create and consume messages and ideas in our world. Students in this course will creatively explore and analyse different media texts, (Film, Television, Music, Podcast etc) learning to identify the important role that media plays in society. By examining how the media constructs messages about individuals, communities and cultures, students will gain a deeper understanding of how and why media products are purposefully produced, controlled and distributed. Finally members of this course will have the opportunity to create and perform their own media products and passion projects. Learning the process of designing an original piece of media that meets a specific set of requirements and audiences.
